NAVY SELECTS INTERCAL FOR AUTOMATED TEST SYSTEM
Intercal is First Private Enterprise Ever To Provide Automated Calibration Test Solution to Military
Medford, Oregon– October 5, 2006 The Crane Division, Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC Crane) located in Crane, Indiana, today announced its decision to award a contract to Intercal for its first Automated Calibration Test Suite Project. This represents the first time ever that the U.S. military has chosen a private enterprise for its total end-to-end automated calibration test solution requirements.
Under the contract, Crane’s automated test suite will be used to incorporate a high degree of automation to the existing Microwave and RF calibration areas within Crane's Metrology and Calibration Laboratory.
By providing all of the required engineering services, custom software, system integration and onsite installation, Intercal is set to revolutionize the way automated test systems are designed and delivered. “Intercal will provide Crane with a complete, comprehensive end-to-end solution that will allow it to maximize the output and efficiency of its calibration workload at minimum cost. The customized solution will be delivered in record time due to Intercal’s existing extensive library of calibration software. This is something that our competitors simply cannot do,” said Dave Sanders, Director of Product Development for Intercal.
